Writing my own "Random" Library

Hey all,

For a project I have in school I have to write my own random number generator program without the use of the “random” library in python. I was thinking that it might be a good idea for me to take a look at all of the declarations that are in the “random” library that one imports when they wish to use the library in their program. My question is how I can get access to the code behind the “random” library, and if you have any other tips for me in writing my own random number generator without the “random” library.

Thanks!

Hello! I believe this GitHub page might be the source code for the random library. This StackOverflow thread might also be helpful.
