I have a wide header that has a video; the video’s quality is pretty high, but I am worried that it would take for ever to load my site if I have it.
Would adding a video that loops and automatically plays in my header make the load time for my site longer?
It’s realistic to think it would affect performance.
Do you think it would greatly hinder performance or will it just be a bit noticeable? Or is this questing too broad
Maybe it depends, my gut reaction would be it’s too risky. But you can always try and see what the min quality to run smooth is.
can you make it async so it will just load when its done downloading if you’re fine with it not showing right from the start. that means it wouldn’t stop on trying to just download the video as it would be asynchronous.
