Word up, stuck


im stuck on this
this is my current code:

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha()
word = orignial.lower()
first = word[0]:
print original
print 'empty'

It gives me this error message when i try running the code:
File "python", line 5
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha()
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

I have no idea what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Its also giving me the error message "Whoops! did you forget to make a variable called word?"


IF statements in Python end with a colon
