Word.lower() glitch or something obvious i'm missing?

#1

Ending Up.

Oops, try again. word should contain the .lower()-case version of original.

output of console is

harliecay
None

Not sure of the issue.

pyg = 'ay'

s = 'Charlie'

if len(s) > 0:
    word=s.lower()
    first=word[0]
    new_word=s[1:len(word)]+first+pyg
    print new_word
else:
    print 'empty'

#2

in your case word contains a lower version of s, not original

#3

leaving original in worked.

thanks
