Why is this not working

#1

var greeting = function("name") {
console.log("name");
};
greeting ();

#2

The parameter is a variable, not a string primitive.

var greeting = function (name) {

};

We call the function and pass it an argument (which will be a string):

greeting("Wee Gillis");

Inside the function we should have a string constant (a greeting phrase should be provided with the instructions) that is concatenated to the parameter variable and outputted.

    console.log("Nice to meet you, " + name); // as an example

Be sure to use the exact phrase given or the SCT may not accept your submission.
