Why doesn't this SQL code work / case?

SELECT *
CASE (
WHEN price_point = ‘$’ THEN ‘ten dollars’
WHEN price_point = ‘$$’ THEN ‘twenty dollars’
WHEN price_point = ‘$$$’ THEN ‘thirty dollars’
WHEN price_point = ‘$$$$’ THEN ‘forty dollars’
ELSE NULL
END
)
FROM places;

You’re missing a comma after SELECT * before the CASE statement.
