Why doesn't my code work?

Hey, have been learning C# for a week now and everything went smoothly until today, when I tried to write a code that generates a poem from words that start from letter A.

Here is what I wrote:

string[] words = { "hello" + "autumn" + "lies" + "adam" };

            foreach (string word in words)
            {
                int indexOfA = word.IndexOf('a');
                if (indexOfA == 0)
                {
                    string wordA = word.Substring(indexOfA);
                    Console.WriteLine(wordA);
                    break;
                }
            }

Basically, Visual studio says, that there are no issues found, but when I try to run the program, it runs, but has no output. Please tell me what I did wrong.

when things go wrong, start making observations. for example, what words are there in that array?
there’s nothing stopping you from adding print statements in your code to write things out to inspect
