Whitespace - Lesson 11

#1

Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong here? I cannot continue it keeps showing: Did you add whitespace to your index.html file?

Hi @mijovanovic,

For the exercise, it’s asking you to add whitespace for the code (inside index.html) that is available for you.

The example given at the side looks like this:

<body><p>Paragraph 1</p><p>Paragraph 2</p></body>

When whitespace is added, the format and structure is changed to this:

<body>
<p>Paragraph 1</p>
<p>Paragraph 2</p>
</body>

So based on the above example, change the available code given in index.html, which is the code below:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <body><h1>Whitespace</h1><p>Whitespace and indentation make html documents easier to read.</p></body>
</html>

to suit the format and structure like the example given.

No extra element to be added (you have added your own <p> tag). Just change the format and structure. Exercise says: putting each element [ie: <body>, <h1>, etc] on its own line.

Hope that serves as a hint for you. :slight_smile:
