Remove your commas in your border style.
Should just be

border: 1px solid #4682b4;

I'm doing the same problem and my css AND html look identical to his... minus the comma problem, and my "border" still won't show either!

I have a similar problem! My border works, but I get an "OOPS!" message. And, when copied and pasted here, the border is gone!
