What's wrong here?

#1

These are the instructions:
Create a variable named strength, and assign the string ‘50,000 pounds’ to it.
You can see my code below, so what’s wrong with my code?
Thanks in advance!

var strenght = "50.000 pounds"

Check your spelling. :slight_smile:

#3

look well var strength but not var strenght

so

var strength = ‘50,000 pounds’;

#4

look well var strength but not var strenght

so

var strength = ‘50,000 pounds’;

spelling doesn’t matter when declaring a variable! The only thing that matters is that you must not use a javascript keyword and you must start a variable with either “$” or “_”!

Try and add a semi-colon after the value.
example:
var strength = “50.000 pounds”;

I know that! I’m saying Codecademy wants the variable to be spelled the same way theirs is spelled. You can declare a variable and name it whatever you want.
The user spelled the variable name incorrectly; Codecademy is very strict on spelling.

oh! OK! Sorry! I didn’t know that! Sorry about that!

Don’t worry. :slight_smile: It’s all good :+1:
