What's the difference between the tag <placeholder> and <label>? Can I use placeholder instead label?

Hello @leaxdp Welcome to the forums. My understanding is the the placeholder is in fact an attribute, not a tag. Therefore, you can’t use them interchangeably. If that is the case, then placeholder attribute is used to text in a form (often <teaxtarea>, that is offered as an example for the user. The <label> tag is used as sort of a caption to the form. It has been awhile since I have done much HTML, so it could have changed, but that is my understanding.
I hope this helps!
