#1

This is what i am stuck on Pyglatin "word up"

When i try to run the code i get this error message: "Oops, try again. Did you create a variable called word?"

Does anyone know whats wrong??
Thanks :slight_smile:

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    word=orginal.lower()
    first=word[0]
    print original
else:
    print 'empty'

It doesn't say to remove this line at any point, but we do not need it anymore. Does that make a difference?

#3

I forgot to put earlier that i also get this error: Traceback (most recent call last):
File "python", line 6, in
NameError: name 'orginal' is not defined

#6

this line:

word=orginal.lower()

you misspelled original

#7
