What is wrong here

I think this not wrong. how did you guy do it. please how help me and show me that the right way
// Define quarter here.
var quarter = function(number);{
return number/4

if (quarter 12 % 3 === 2); {
console.log("The statement is true");
} else {
console.log("The statement is false");

Functions & if/else

Watch closely where you place your semicolons:
Here there must not be anything in between function() and its {} and cause the {} are mandatory.
var quarter = function(number);{

And about this one:
if (quarter 12 % 3 === 2); {

I wrote a longer post over here:

I did this one so wrong i got a syntax error but i got to continue dod you want to know how?

well i will tell you anyhow. I just said var quarter = rand(00,300) why this worked? the world may never know
