What is a statistical distribution?
A statistical distribution, also known as a probability distribution, shows the probabilities, or number of times, that a certain outcome occurs given a number of trials.
This can help us see and determine the likelihood that an outcome will occur. Despite there always being some uncertainty in reality, they can help us make reliable decisions based on the likelihoods.
The shape of a distribution can be used to categorize them into different types, which will be covered later on in the lesson.
