I keep getting "SyntaxError: Unexpected token else" but I canot find where my error is.

var compare = function(choice1, choice2) {
    if(choice1 === choice2) {
    return "The result is a tie!"
}

else if (choice1 === "rock") {

    if (choice2 === "scissors") {
        return"rock wins";
}
else {
    return"paper wins";
}
}
}
else if (choice1 === "paper") {
    if (choice2=== "rock") {
        return"paper wins";
}
    else {
        return"scissors wins";
}
}

This is an indication that the brackets are not correctly placed. There should only be two closing braces before the else if. Move the third to the very bottom where it will close the function body of compare().
