What does it mean when it says parameters?

Continuing the discussion from And bug:

it has been a while and i can't remember

Parameters are what are inside the parenthesis. ie ( , )

thought so, just making sure :slight_smile: :wink:

The parameters are the variables that stand in for the arguments in the function definition.

var myfunc = function(a, b) {

console.log(myfunc(6, 7));

a and b are the parameters. They are locally defined variables that receive the values 6 and 7 that are the arguments. The order of the arguments determines which value will be assigned to each parameter variable.

ok i think i understand

thanks mtf :slight_smile: :wink:
