To get to the machine learning part of the Data Science path.
I want to finish these Skill Paths:
- Analyze Data with SQL
- Design Databases with PostgreSQL
- Create a front-end app with React
I am almost finished with the first two.
I also want to finish the first version of an Android App I haven’t really worked on for such a long time.
And I want/have to finish an app I’m developing with my dad (soooo exciting!!!)
Oh, and I want to start using these forums to solidify my coding knowledge. I took a few weeks away from the forums because I wanted to analyze why I was using them, and what truly brought me here. I found out I was in a wrong path, so I established my goals and changed my motivations in order to come back here, now with some good goals.
I have many many coding goals this year and I took some time in the last week of 2020 to prepare map of how my 2021 should be like in order to achieve these goals. And, now that I’m all set, I’m taking one careful step at a time learning and improving my coding skills.
But as far as listing these goals is concerned, here is my list:
- Become a better Data Scientist by extensively practicing related statistics, probability, algebra and calculus along with the coding skills necessary to be one
- Become a better full stack web developer having my own set of notes and understanding of topics and make at least 3 different full stack applications and test them
- Understand and work with data structures and gain a fairly good understanding of how to use them
- Intern as a data science intern in one of the good companies out there for the better part of the year.
This is just the starting line and I’m very excited for I have begun working towards this end.
I wish you all a very happy new year! And I hope you to see you all the finish line of your goals at the end of this year.
Cheers.
To create a decent portfolio and get a job as a front-end web developer. Also to finish the front end web engineering course, but I’m about 50% of the way through that and I started after Thanksgiving, so that should be done before March (I assume React will take longer than the HTML/CSS basics, plus I added SASS and Bootstrap to the things I want to be good at, and I’ll need to take time away to practice them too).
I wanted to do CodeWars daily too, but days are short and sometimes I want to do something away from the computer.
My goals for the year are as follows:
-
complete my front-End development pathway (already above 50%)
-
stay motivated and focused for 3 months on learning
-
join Team on project, forum and make open source contribution as little as possible
-
GET A JOB and BUILD MY TECH CAREER
Those are my career for this year…i am will to work with any reasonable, well knowledge developer on project using my HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, REACT skills set…
Thank you CODECADEMY for a well structured pathway.
Nice one, we’re on the same path…
Also 50% into my front-end web development path.
I will also like to join codeWars to see how far i can go…
Happy coding
Learn something new every day.
Post a list of projects to help members gain experience writing code
CodeWars is great - I definitely recommend it. Should be helpful in preparing for the technical interview, and it’s a lot of fun as well.
This year I will try to master making discord bots in JavaScript.
I want to learn coding every single day
Just want to take this bold step this week
Hope it turns out great
I want to complete the “Learn R” course and get into university in order to become an IT engineer (aka programmer and/or something similar). My weekly target is 3 days per week (at least).
For this year I want to practice my coding skills everyday and finish the HTML and Python courses.
I joined Codecademy in 2019 to learn more about machine learning, but I enjoyed it so much I stayed to learn about web development so I could start a company. The web and its complexities always seemed too complicated to figure out, but between Codecademy, the migration of infrastructure to the cloud, and the proliferation of open source software, I finally feel like I can build something meaningful.
That’s my goal for 2021. I wrote up a business plan, defined a vision, created personas, made some initial financial projections, and built a backlog, and I will leave my job later this year to dive in full-time. I’ve never taken a risk like this before, but I feel more prepared than I’ve ever been. Shout out to @oduffy, @daniellakisza, @zoe.bachman and the rest of the Premium team (gone, but not forgotten), without whom I wouldn’t be able to take this leap.
Lots to look forward to this year – good luck to everyone with your goals!
my 2021 goals are to finish the python course and the js course
Hello there!
My name is Gianmarco and I am really curious about Coding. I just started and I am really happy to do this as a hobby in 2021. I hope this year would be the year for me and for everyone.
Since I was young, coding really interested me but I have never had the opportunity to do so, but then I found “Codecademy” and I told my self “Bro, you should start now”. So I began with it, just a few days ago.
Hope that this year I’m going to be rich and enter the Univerity.
king regards,
Gianmarco

I’d love to learn C++ in depth as well.
I hope everyone reaches their goals!
