While I agree with this take to some degree, I also believe it to be somewhat assumptious.
This can be true about machine learning, but AI attempts to encompass a much broader field and notably one which we know quite little about. Human behaviour, desires and patterns of thinking is not a new study, but the inner workings of the brain is still an area of science in which we can make a lot of improvements.
Even in AI’s simpler form (for example Siri), requires extensive access to data from a biased source - a human for example. Even so, most AI can only perform simple tasks and we are quite far from AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) or GI (General Intelligence).
All AI in current, and most likely future existence, will be developed, provided data by and trained by humans. This means that the ability for an AI to be truly objective is entirely based on a dataset provided by humans, which cannot be truly objective.
Nevertheless I believe that data analysis and human error rates can definitely be improved by the use of AI as a tool.
