What am I doing wrong?

original = raw_input("Enter Word")

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():

first = word[0]
new_word = word+first+pyg
new_word = new_word [1:len(nword)]
word = original.lower()

print new_word

print "empty"

that is what I've put with thanks to this forum but al I get is

File "python", line 6
first = word[0]
IndentationError: expected an indented block

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong please help.

Hey, whenever that error appears it means that there is a problem with the amount of space your line of text is. If you just delete the space behind your code of first = word[0] back to the if statement and hit enter it should automatically indent back into place for you, if not then you may just have to tab it back in hopefully this helps based off your error
