Hi everyone,
My name is Matt. My current occupation is retail management. I have no experience with coding. I hope to learn quickly to be able change careers to something more enjoyable.
Hi! I’m a Sales Insights Manager at a CPG Broker and am interested in learning how to code. I was previously a Product Manage at a software company and worked with software engineers daily.
Hi All, I am Aaron Sam, I am new to this community. I am a Software Engineer with 2+ years of Experience. I want to grow in my career. I am doing some courses on this platform.
Hello!
I am currently a public area attendant (janitor). I am looking to make the most money I ever have with a new skill set! I’ve always been computer savvy so now I’m putting that to good use. Nice to meet y’all!
Hello! My name is Dawn, and I am not your average tech type. I’m a stay-at-home mom looking to leverage my undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate degree in accounting with a tech career. Before my kids, my career spanned marketing, HR, and higher education administration. Since my kids, I have taken on a few freelance roles and volunteered in accounting. I’m ready to return to work in an exciting and evolving field, and tech is where it’s at. Way back in the day, I took BASIC programming in high school and taught myself HTML in college.
I am leaning toward cybersecurity or data analysis. I look forward to connecting with others on the forums and learning as much as possible with Codecademy.
Hello there!
My name is Haley and I’m 26 and living in Richmond, VA!
I’m currently working as an Inside Sales Rep at a refurbished capital equipment company. I’ve been in this role for over 2 years and it’s definitely time for a change. Alongside sales, you can find me working with my upholstery partner in gyms all over VA, as well as walking dogs!
Coding has been on the brain for a while but it felt very daunting to dive in. My hopes are that my upholstery partner and I can build course-catalog website specifically for upholstery! I’m also hoping that this big project will lead to a full-time role as a Front-End Dev!
Hello everyone,
My name is Alicia, and I am 43 years old. I live in the United States, and I am an adjunct English instructor, online tutor, and online librarian.
I am learning coding (right now I am redoing the HTML lesson here on Codecademy, and I have done the CSS and Javascript lessons), and I plan to use my new coding skills in a new career as a front-end web developer. I also plan to use them to help people build websites in my local area, starting with a craft co-op that doesn’t have a website and needs one.
I enjoy learning new things too, and I really love coding. I always find something new and exciting in it every day I do a coding lesson.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
Hello! I’m a new student of computer science. I hope to explore the range of disciplines in this field to find out what I like best and explore the career possibilities.
I look forward to working with you all and to learning sincerely for fun, self-improvement, and a career.
Hello all! I am 25 years old, working in retail as an overnight manager. I’ve been interested in programming for years, as it is what my brother has done for work for the last 10-15 years. I’ve tried a few times to learn but never seem to catch a break as work usually takes up too much of my time. HOWEVER, I’m here to try again, and I am going to try and stay motivated. I’m going to start by learning the basics of JavaScript and then go from there. I’m looking forward to meeting some people and starting this journey.
Hello! My name is Mads. I’m in my 20s, and live in the Midwest, USA.
I was inspired to learn to code because I wanted a website to sell my handmade jewelry-- and Etsy just wasn’t cutting it. Through Codecademy, I’m realizing that I love to work with computers almost as much as I love working with my hands! I want to become a front-end developer so that I can get myself to a better place financially and geographically.
I’m focusing on HTML and CSS first. After that, I plan on studying JavaScript. I’m looking forward to learning with you all!
Hi, folks! Russ here. I’m a Senior Product Designer with some experience with HTML, CSS and JS, but I’m completely self-taught and want to polish my skills to be able to build my own applications and to also understand better what developers are doing within my teams. I’m looking forward to learning with you!
hello!!! My name is damilare, i am new to coding and am currently studying to become a Front-end Engineer. I am here to improve my skills and gain more knowledge.
Hi Everyone, my name is Ivana and I am from Nigeria. I have been interested in web development for a while now, but never really got into it, I finally decided to take it seriously and here I am. I am really excited about this and I look forward to learning a lot with you guys.
Call me Astro. I’m 35-years-old, and I’d love to do web design as a career. I’ve been interested in web and graphic design since I was a teenager, where I used to Frankenstein websites together to make them work. It’s been a long time coming, but I think this is the ideal career for me for many reasons (some of which I’m not comfortable sharing yet). I’m currently disabled, but I’m hoping that within a year or two, I might be in a better position to support myself.
Hi i am from Amsterdam
Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a Project Manager in the Mechanical Construction Industry and I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I’m learning Python 3 first for fun and we’ll see where it goes!
Hi all!
I’m Alberto, and I am Economist working for the Spanish administration.
I have been working for a long time in regulation and now I am willing to give my career a more analytic profile, so I am very interesting in data science.
Now I’m finding coding so adictive…

Hello everyone,
I have a small e-commerce business, and I’ve realized the need to better understand web programming to improve my website. That’s why I’m going to start by studying the front-end course and, in the future, the back-end course as well. I have the ambition to create a web application that connects with other websites’ APIs.
I already have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS, but I’ll start from scratch because it seems like a lot has changed, and it’s always good to review, right?
My English isn’t that good because I’m not a native English speaker.
Thank you.
Hi all
My career has mostly been IT support/management - ended up jill-of-all-trades. I have a 20 year old degree in software development and I’m planning a career change to Data Analytics.
I’ve been using codecademy for a few months now and I’m really enjoying the courses and career paths.
I’m based in Scotland, UK - if you’re in a similar time zone and need a code buddy let me know
