(Okay so I'm not completey sure how this works, but I'm gonna try it, see how it goes.)
Hello! I'm a coder who wants to do great things in the world of technology. So far, I do like everything knowing how to code has to offer (e.g. the highest paying jobs in the U.S. woot, woot!) It was fun but that was before I got stuck just recently (Which is actually why I'm here. I know this isn't the place for asking questions, but I don't know where to do that so I just thought "Hey, why not!")
I don't really have a profession. That is if you don't count having to go to school 5 days a week, 7-8 1/2 hours a day a profession.
Like I've already said; I plan on using my coding skills to join this technological push towards the future. On a more short-term scale, I want to do Computer Science at MIT (and eventually become the top of my class ^_^).
I love Codecademy (why is your guys' own company name marked as 'spelled incorrectly'?) because, really, anyone can learn to code here. And it's fun with all the kid-friendly (as in easy to understand) language. It's like I'm learning from someone my age!
I haven't been any meetups or events; I've never heard of one. I bet it'd be super fun though. Coders untied! Can't get any better than that.
I don't have anything to show for my Codecademy work right now (except of course my extensive array WINK of badges, and some of the crazy stories I've come up with with all the Code Your Own Adventures) but soon. I can definitely see it on the horizon.
That's all I've got so far. I'm going to go find the place for Q&A. BYE!
P.S. I hope that smile thing up there works. All I can see is : smile :
