Hi everyone, I am Minsi, a freelance violinist and a mum of a 3 year old boy. I was planning to take up something new to diversify my skill set ever since the little fellow arrived, and the Covid situation just made it more a pressing matter.
I am currently on a 3 months bootcamp, and definitely finding so so much knowledge gaps that I need to filled in with reading loads of actual articles/words rather than manuscripts and notes…Hence, I hope to use Codecademy to help me filled in those gaps. My favorite feature of the Codecademy so far is the forum. There are so much more answers I can find immediate rather than googling

Hello my name is Lorenzo jones I am here because I Love tech as a kid growing up from the Nintendo on up to a pc I used to look up how they made games and man I want to do that one day well 30 yrs later here I am my kids have graduated collage and I have been working in the Automotive Industry as a manger all be it a good life I am looking to pursue my dream and also make a better living for my wife and kids.
Now I am a geek and love to have fun I also have taken a few years of collage only to quit because of life circumstances now I feel like I am ready to pursue my dreams I find coding to be a daunting but awesome and fun I also hope to work for a faith based community thanks for reading guys good luck to you all/

My name is Lisa and I am an HR Director. I have been in HR for 7+ years and have a passion for people and technology. All that said I would like to be able to work in a remote capacity for an IT company whether that is in HR or Web development. My goal is to become well versed so that I may understand what goes into the back end 
. I am however, also considering changing professions, still not sure yet. If anyone needs help with interview advice – I can pitch in there!
On a personal note I am a total nerd and love everything Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I’m a bit of a hippie lol. I love nature, gardening and all thinks green living.

My name is Leshego, a business analyst working for a Swiss tech startup - though I am based in the South African team. So cool to meet everyone else on this platform! I joined the community because I wanted to use time under quarantine productively to upskill myself with capabilities that will give me an added edge with my daily deliverables for work. I started learning SQL and R - and I love how Codecademy delivers the content, making concepts easily understandable. My favorite thing is the Q&As linked to lessons, for which when I push myself to guess answers, I get positive affirmations of my understanding (Give me all the gold stars! Bet you can tell I am a little bit of a teachers pet). The quizzes and challenges are also quite enjoyable. Can’t wait to try out the real world projects offered along the learning journey, and learn from all of you in the process!

Hello! My name is Shaker. Until very recently I worked in manufacturing (thanks, covid), and commercial painting before that. I’m hoping to gain the skills here to change careers into something which will support my family better, and with any luck be a little kinder on my back, haha. When will I ever have a better chance to study hard than during quarantine?
I finished the basic Java course about a week ago, and now I’m working through JavaScript to see if it feels like a better fit for me - I think it is! I think next I’ll take the course on Node.js or something. Just see where the spirit leads me.

hey! my name is Diego, Been working as a circus performer until corona arrived to Chile. I discovered my love for code like 1 year ago and I did the Codecademy Pro free-trial version like 7 times 
This year I actually decided that I want to go all the way with this. I’m doing the web dev path currently suffering with node.js.
Usually, circus people are not much into coding so it’s been pretty lonely so far… I hope I can get involved in this community have fun!

i feel fresh and better when i learn new stuff, when i improve myself. since the technology and mechanics are huugee part of us, i decided to learn coding…
i heard about Codecademy from friend and i loved the way they make us practice right after we learn it! it helps me learn well…
