Check out my personal project on Colorado Covid-19 Case Counts by County. I used Python, Pandas, GeoPandas, Matplotlib, and SciKitLearn to visualize daily positive case counts from June 1, 2020 to October 14, 2021 in the format of a geographic heat map.
