Visual Studio Code issues

Hi everyone!

I’m struggling with the Git Hub excursion project…

(https://www.codecademy.com/paths/learn-how-to-build-websites/tracks/finishing-touches-and-publishing-a-website/modules/git-and-publishing-to-github-pages/projects/f1-excursion),

…because my Visual studio Code won’t support / read video files.
What can i do ?
Is there any way to solve this ?

Thank you so much!

Hi,

I’m not familiar with this particular lesson, but what are you trying to do with VS Code and video files? You should have the files in a directory and be linking to them, but shouldn’t be trying to do anything else with them in VS Code. Can you explain your issue more clearly?

Sarah

You do not need to open the video files inside VSCode, you should be linking them in your website then playing them in your browser. If you want to view the videos outside of the website, you need to use a media player like Windows Media Player or VLC, VSCode is strictly a text editor, with some minor support for various image formats.
