I want to know whether Visual basic is a desolate programming language or it is still used. If it is used, then why is this language not taught here?

I think because there are more used programming languages, but I think there will be a course on it, but I don’t think that will be soon because of the C++ course and other courses, Visual basic is an option in the POLL. You can vote for it.
