Validating user entered word

python

<PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING TEMPLATE TO HELP YOU CREATE A GREAT POST!>

How does one validate that user entered a word and not a number or symbol?

<Below this line, add a link to the EXACT exercise that you are stuck at. The query string (? and beyond) may be truncated.>

<In what way does your code behave incorrectly? Include ALL error messages.>

<What do you expect to happen instead?>

```python
Replace this line with your code.
<do not remove the three backticks above>
#2
user_input = raw_input("enter some text")
if user_input.isalpha():
    # code
#3
Well, you can use the conditional flow like the if/else statement to filter whether the input of the user is an integer, a string, or a float. We can use the type already built function in python.
if type(what_the_user_input) == string:
    return "This is a string!"
else:
    return "This is not a string!"
