Using visual studio code

In this video ‘’, it shows that when you use the ‘g++’ to compile a program with a suffix of cpp, there will appear a new file named ‘a.out’. However, for me it turns out something different like this:

So, why is that?

Have a good at the below topic on stack overflow. Essentailly it is due to the enviroment on which you are working on. If you are on a windows system, it will return with .exe, whereas on a linux system it will return .c.
