Use Python on notepad

#1

Hello
Can i use python in Notepad?

#2

You can write python code in notepad, yes, its possible. But i would pick something a little more suitable for coding like notepad++ or atom (or many of the other options)

you still need the python interpreter of course to run the code.

#3

why I can not use raw_input in atom ?
it shows (this is not defined)
what should I do ?

#4

You will need to check your python version, ensuring that the built-in function like raw_input you want to use exist in your python version

#5

it’s version 3.6.5 . should I reinstall python or atom?

#6

#7

neither, you just check here:

https://docs.python.org/3/library/functions.html

and see that raw_input is not a built-in function, it got renamed to input()
