Updated: Installed conda, opened in VS Code, bash terminal says 'Unable to import 'pandas'

https://www.codecademy.com/practice/projects/this-is-jeopardy

I followed the instructions here: https://www.codecademy.com/articles/install-python3

In my bash terminal in VSCode, I get:

$ python --version //Python 3.7.4

but in the ‘Problems’ tab I get: jeopardy.py xUnable to import ‘pandas’

Any tips?

Update: I made the error message go away by choosing an ‘interpreter’ in VSCode, like so:

  • ctrl-shift-p //brings up a menu to select interpreter

  • enter> //brings up a list of options

  • Choosing Python 3.7.3 64-bit (‘base’: conda) solved the problem.
