When initializing a variable or constant, what is the <> part of it called (where you put the data type)? Is there a technical name for it?

For example: Set<String>()

That’s actually a great question! The <> symbol falls under the (not-too-wide) category of brackets, of which there are four. To be specific, they are actually called angle brackets …although I’ve heard that (in terms of coding, anyway) saying “open bracket” and “close bracket” are shorthand ways of addressing <>.
