Trigonmetry begins with the circle

The first shape we learn is the circle. Easy to see why if you’ve ever been on an airplane ride in the dining room. Interesting enough, within the circle is contained all the math we will ever need to know.

Also interesting enough that the discovery we credit Pythagoras with though it came about much earlier in terms of humanity, would end up defining the circle. Who’d o’ thunk?
