Transpiliation; move ./src/main.js

platform_issue

#1

I’m working through the transpilation (https://www.codecademy.com/courses/introduction-to-javascript/projects/transpilation) exercise for Javascript - and keep getting this error at different stages after resetting multiple times.

“./src/main.js has been moved. This will cause problems with this exercise, please move ./src/main.js back to its original location, or reset your files”

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

#2

I’m able to reproduce this issue on the first step of page,

https://www.codecademy.com/courses/introduction-to-javascript/projects/transpilation

This was just after answering yes to the question, Is this okay?

Select Reset and confirm. Now,

cd src
ls

should give us restored listing…

highlight.pack.js main.js script.js

After running npm init the package.json file will also appear in that list.

Step three runs into this problem again…

@alyssavigil, is there a coach who can pipe in on this topic to help guide us through?

#4

I’m also running into this problem (warning that ./src/main.js has been moved twice
In the end ‘npm run build’ results into an error which I can’t read because the terminal in the browser doesn’t allow me to scroll back

Thanks for resurfacing the issue, @willemvdg (looks like I missed it back in November). I’ve flagged the team; let’s hope someone can come check this one out with us.
