The use of AI in place of hints

Is there any way to have these courses NOT use AI when in need of a hint? The AI hints are incredibly unhelpful or don’t make sense. I prefer the old way of “get a hint” and it shows you either the answer or an example as well as with an explanation. It makes it easier to understand the content. I greatly dislike the vagueness of the AI responses.

Asking in the forums is kind of ironic since the AI is meant to put us out to pasture, having learned from our past ten years of responses and then CC archiving them so they don’t come up in search. We’re on the sidelines, here. Can’t speak for what CC is going to do in your case. The hints were sort of cool, and did help a lot a people edge forward. Sorry we can’t be more helpful with your question but out in the pasture there is only grass.

I think this has been brought up here in the forums a couple times since the AI hints were instituted. (an aside, I agree: they’re not helpful & there’s no need to incorporate generative AI into lessons). It would be great to have a toggle switch so one could turn them off.
