The story heats up!

var userAnswer=prompt();

if(userAnswer === "yes" ){
console.log("You and Bieber start racing. It's neck and neck! You win by a shoelace!");
}
else
{
console.log("Oh no! Bieber shakes his head and sings 'I set a pace, so I can race without pacing.'");
}

#2

This is fine, what error are you getting?
Could you please post the link to the exercise as well?

#3

I have this bug too
https://www.codecademy.com/courses/javascript-beginner-en-x9DnD/0/5?curriculum_id=506324b3a7dffd00020bf661

#4

got the same problem here.........

#5

If problems persist, please make a new topic, don't hijack this one (see guidelines)

The exercise checks two if conditions are present: the age check you build earlier and the if condition you add in this exercise

You should have both.

#7

Same thing doesn't recognize the if statement

#8

Anyone get a fix for this yet?

#9

So Several people have same error. However your code has a semicolon ";" in wrong spot. At the end it should be at end of the curly braces that terminate your else statement, not before.
