The importance of semicolons

#1

h3 {
font-family: Verdana;
color: blue;
)

p {
font-family: Garamond;
font-size: 16px;
}
Although I think that I've written the code for the css part correctly, still I don't know so as to why I am getting the error message :Oops, try again. Did you fix the p font-family? It should be Garamond!

#2

your h3 closing curly bracket (}) is a normal bracket ()), which causes the error

#3

Can you please help me figure out what I am doing wrong here? I think I typed the code right.

h3 {
font-family: Verdana;
color: blue;
{
p {
font-family: Garamond;
font-size: 16px;
{

It keeps telling me "Oops, try again. Did you fix the p font-family? It should be Garamond!"

#4

general css syntax:

selector {
  property: value;
  property: value;
}

look at your supposedly closing curly bracket (})
