The Big If: Confusing Error

#1

I have an error at the parentheses after 3 that I do not understand. There are possibly others too. Help would be much appreciated! (and it's not indentation that's the problem I don't think)

Make sure that the_flying_circus() returns True

def the_flying_circus():
if ( 1 == 1 ) and ( 2 != 3 )
return True
# Start coding here!
# Don't forget to indent
# the code inside this block!
elif 2 == 4
return False
# Keep going here.
# You'll want to add the else statement, too!
else:
return True

Hi Erza

You don't need to use the else statement in the end of your sentence, and also you are forgetting the :

Try this

def the_flying_circus():
    if (1==1) and (2 !=3):
       return True
    elif 2 == 4:
       return False

print the_flying_circus()

#3

Make sure that the_flying_circus() returns True

def the_flying_circus():
if (1==1) and (2 !=3):
return True
elif 2 == 4:
return False

else :
    return none

print the_flying_circus()

Thank you so much. I was using print instead of return and " marks unneeded
