Testing, Testing, is This Thing On?

#1

Okay, I have been working on this lesson and I am confused about what I am doing incorrectly. I have written out my code but when I run it just asks for me to enter a word and then it return the same word. It doesn't turn it into pyglatin. On top of that the system accepts the code and I earned the pyglatin badge.

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    word = original.lower()
    first = word[0]
    new_word = word + first + pyg
    new_word = word[1:] + first + pyg
    print original
else:
    print 'empty'

#2

this line:

print original

you print the original, which hold what the user entered while prompted. new_word holds your pyglatin, so i would print new_word

Also, this line:

new_word = word + first + pyg

doesn't seem to serve any purpose

Ah yes, I played around with the code and realized my mistake. Thanks for your help.
