SyntaxError: missing ) after condition 8/13

#1

I am having trouble on this challenge, I need someones help as I am only a beginner in javascript. This is my code:
var quarter = function(number)
{
return number / 4
};
if (quarter (12) 3 === 0 ) {
console.log("The statement is true");
} else {
console.log("The statement is false");
};
Every time I run the code, this pops up:
"SyntaxError: missing ) after condition". Please help!

#2

Perhaps it is missing a semicolon after the return command !

#3

Its missing a %

Your code is...

if (quarter (12) 3 === 0 ) {

It should be ...

if (quarter (12) % 3 === 0 ) {

#4

And please do not add semicolon after var quarter = function(number)

#5

No actually this part is fine the syntax of a function is

var name = function(){
    ...
}; //here goes a semicolon and may after statements in the ... region but nowhere else
