SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier

// Check if the user is ready to play!
confirm("I am ready to play this game!");
var age = prompt("What's your age?");
if
age < 16
{
    console.log("Sorry youngster");
}
else
{
    console.log("Let's do this")
}

#2

not sure if I'm correct but I think if "Sorry youngster" is not EXACTLY what they said for you to put there if not well put what it says, I tried making it my own and that didn't work either

#3

same thing with the age but I still could be wrong

#4

:confounded:but I tried

#5

age < 16 needs to be in ()

#6

you need to put the condition(age < 16) in parentheses like this:

if(age <16) {
console.log("Sorry youngster");
}

@jaahcd

By the way, you are supposed to test whether the user is above 13 or not.
