Syntax error What if choice1 is paper?

#1

can't find what is wrong

var compare = function(choice1, choice2){
    if(choice1===choice2){
        return "The result is a tie!";
    }
    else if (choice1==="rock"){
        if (choice2==="scissors")
        return "rock wins";
    }
    else{
        return "paper wins";
    }
    else if (choice1==="paper"){
        if (choice2==="rock")
        return "paper wins";
    }
    else{
        return "scissors wins";
    }
}

#2

this bit off your code:

else{
        return "paper wins";
    }
    else if (choice1==="paper"){

you close the else statement, but you should add another closing curly brackets to close your else if (else if (choice1==="rock"){):

else{
        return "paper wins";
    }
    }
    else if (choice1==="paper"){

Your markup was nearly good, but you use ยด, you should use the back ticks:

```
