Syntax error chapter 5

this is my code but i have a syntax error in the second else statement
it says expected an identifier but instead saw else
pls help

That line is a closed statement (; means end-of-statement) so the conditional has no required code block. Remove the semi-colon.


Aside

As a way to help avoid this error in future, write the opening brace on the same line as the conditional. That way you will be less tempted to insert a semi-colon.

}
