Style those divs!

#1

how do go on to the next level if you put everything in to the lesson correctly and the computer says thins : Make sure your

s are 100 pixels high! (If your height looks correct, make sure your border-radius is 100%, not 100px)

@greed9819

You could place this under HTML and CSS, or whatever lesson you are stuck on.

To allow us to help you, please post your code as well as a link to the lesson you are having the issue with.

And we know all the problems with the HTML/CSS course is a pain but the best we can do is evaluate your code and try to help you work out the bugs and errors in the code and lessons.

I'm stuck here too, can you check my code and help me move on?
Txs!
Instructions:
Give them a height and width of 100 pixels.
Set their border-radius to 100%. (Can you guess what this does before you look?)
Give them a border that's two pixels wide, solid, and black.
Code:
div {
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 5px;
}
div {
height: 100px;
width: 100px;
border-radius: 100%;
border: 2px solid black;
}

Hi, I am having the same problem.

My Social Network

/*CSS*/

div {
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 5px;
height: 100px;
width: 100px;
border-radius: 100%
border: 2px solid black;

}

It says: Oops, try again. Do your

s have borders that are 2px solid black?

I had the same problem. What i did was that i added a semi-colon after the end of the value 100%
border-radius: 100%;

Hello Guys!

I just experienced kinda the same problem, tho it wasn't a typo or missing ";".
So i checked code, tried to change positions in the stylesheet and tried it into the html file.. still didn't work.

Then i read that the Browser Zoom should be 100% (using Google Chrome btw.),
checked it and it said 100% Zoom.. but it still wasn't working - so i played a bit with the zoom and it worked with 80% Zoom

Hope this helps some Peoples over here, ever tho its kinda weird. :wink:

Maybe to identify the "bug" from me i used/have:
Laptop: HP Elitebook 850
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise (64-Bit)
Browser: Google Chrome (Portable)
With Windows Settings on:
100% Textzoom ; 1920x1080px

Bye & Happy Coding guys!

For those having the issue:

div {
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 5px;
height: 100px;
width: 100px;
border-radius: 100%
border: 2px solid black;
}

"Oops, try again. Do your
s have borders that are 2px solid black?"

I switched the border CSS into "border: solid black; 2px;"

It displayed the 3 circles and let me proceed toward the next lesson.

Hello,

  1. Make sure your zoom is on 100%
  2. Check that you HTML div's are coded properly and closed
  3. Make sure you are linked between HTML & CSS
  4. ^ TRIED the above then try another browser
  5. Still no luck make a new topic with HTML, CSS & error

Also consider trying the NEW HTML & CSS course:
