    <head>
        <title>Table Time</title>
    </head>

    <body>

        <table style="border-collapse:collapse;">
            <thead>
                <tr>
                   <th style:"color:red;colespan:2">Famous Monsters by Birth Year</th>
                </tr>
                <tr style="border-bottom:1px solid black;">

colspan (which you misspelled) and style are both attributes, you can add multiply attributes to a html element. colspan is not a style property like color, here is example of a image with two attributes:

<img src="#" alt="my image">

Now, try to use this knowledge to add colspan and style attribute to the <th> tag

Where are your <em></em> tags?

#3

Where do I need to place the <em></em> tags?

#4

inside your <th><!-- here --></th> tags famous monster and (not by) birth year:

<th style="padding:5px;">Famous Monster</th>
<th style="padding:5px;border-left:1px solid black;">Birth Year</th>
