Classes and IDs in CSS

Classes and IDs are super easy in CSS. You're using them right now!

Regular HTML Selectors

If you don't bother with a class or ID, an HTML element just gets the regular CSS styling for that element—or the default styling if you don't specify any particular styling on the stylesheet.

css:

/Add your CSS below!/
#intro {
color: #b83c3a;
}

.standout {
color: #b83c3a;
font-family: Verdana;
}

why is it not working?

<do not remove the three backticks above>

Give the h2 header an ID of “intro”.
Give the first h3 and first p a class of “standout”. Don’t do anything to the second h3 and p!

problem: Oops, try again. Did you remember to add the standout class to the first h3 header?

In your HTML code, you don’t properly set the “standout” class.

<h3 class = "standout">Classes and IDs in CSS</h3>

Get rid of the class from the div tag

take out ´´´’ /Add your CSS below!/ ´´´´

That is a comment, it doesn’t actually affect the output.
