Hello everyone,
I am very stuck on this exercise and I don't know why. Please could somebody help me?

Zoom in to the image, and you will be able to see all the detail.

I expected it to ask me questions and make new words.

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    word = original.lower()
    first = word[0]
    new_word = word + first + pyg
    [1:len(new_word)]
    print new_word
else:
    print 'empty'

#2

This line should be stored in the variable new_word on a new line and still include first and pyg like so

new_word = word[1:len(new_word)] + first + pyg

By calling the new_word variable again you are not overriding the variable's initial instructions. Just giving it an additional set of instructions.
