Stuck on CSS Styling 5/10

#1

I can't seem to figure out how to style the p element. I've tried:

 .jumbotron p {
            color: #fff;
            font-size: 20px;
        }

I've also tried:

.jumbotron h1 {
            color: fff;
            font-size: 48px;
            font-weight: bold;
            color: #fff;
            font-size: 20px;
        }

Neither one is working. Help, please!

Hi melcheng289,

Your first example is the right way to select the p elements. Your second example is selecting the h1 elements.

What you have done there looks perfect. Could you show me the rest of your main.css file please?

Nevermind, I figured out that I was missing a bracket } earlier in the sequence. Thanks anyway!

You're welcome melcheng289!

Having the same problem, can you please show me what you did? I have exactly the same thing as your first example.

#6

OH, I see now...each element has to be closed by a }

Just to get you off on the right foot with your terminology. You mean each "CSS rule", not "element". Elements are an HTML thing -- like this:

<p>This is an HTML element</p>

.selector {
    this is a CSS rule
}
