I realize that many people here don’t (yet!) have jobs in tech, but that doesn’t really matter & this is still relevant.
Anyway, every year StackOverflow does a Dev Survey and it’s (been) open & will close soon.
As a data person, I always like reading the results (which they publish later in the Summer (I think). It’s a good summary of what tech languages are most popular, and population demographics in technology. For more nuts and bolts, you can also read about the methodology for the survey construction as well.
For some reason, the survey is shorter this year. I always thought that they needed to get the word out so they have a larger sample population (so it’s not just devs or S.O. members answering the questionnaire), which is why I post it here.
