Span plus style?

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title></title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <p>This text is black, except for the word <span style="color:red" red! </span></p>
    </body>
</html>

nothing should be between the span tags except the word red, in your case i see a exclamation mark and spaces also. And your span opening tag seems to be missing it's closing greater then sign (>)

#3

So you don't use it with style?

#4

you should use it with style, you should add the style attribut to the span opening tag:

<span style="color:red">

now, you forgot the > to close the span opening tag. then between the span tags (so that is between <span> and </span>, there should only be the word red, no spaces and or exclamation marks.
