Sorry... another 23 Pseudo selectors issue

#1

I have tried other suggestions from other posts and I can't get this to stick. I want to make sure I'm doing the right code rather than the code the gets me to the next lesson.

"Oops, try again. Did you give your third paragraph a font-size of 26px? It looks like it's currently 16px."

Replace this line with your code.
!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
	<head>
		<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
		<title>Result</title>
	</head>
	<body>
		<!--Add your HTML below!-->
		<h3 class="fancy">This is me being awesome</h3>

		<p class="fancy">Our mission is to.....</p>

		 <p id="serious">This is me being serious!</p>

		<p>This is me being done with selectors</p>

	</body>
</html>

*******CSS********

.fancy {
font-family:cursive;
color:violet;
}

serious {

font-family:Courier;
color:#8C8C8C;

}

body: nth-child(4) {
font-size: 26px;
}

I don't see where you apply styles to third paragraph. Give me a link of your task.

:  wrong place

 body :nth-child(4) {  // see :
 font-size: 26px;
 }

#5

This line: body: nth-child(4) {

Should be: p:nth-child(4) {

You need to select paragraph not the body element.

#6

body :nth-child(4) and p:nth-child(4) both are right

Note:Make sure to leave a space between body :nth-child. If you don't have a space it means "find the body tag that is an nth-child". If you have a space it means "find the nth-child of the body tag".

#7

You're right, body:nth-child(4) will select body child element, but it will select whatever the element type is and to be more strict I guess p:nth-child(4) is the way to go.

#8

Thanks dude!

That seemed to do it. I could have sworn I tried that!?

#10

space missing between body and :nth-child, otherwise the 4th element has to be a body.
