[SOLVED] JQuery, .hide() not working properly

#1

Hello,

I'm facing 2 issues with the below exercise
https://www.codecademy.com/courses/learn-javascript/lessons/javascript-dom/exercises/hide

The code is fine, it's not showing any errors but I don't think the script is behaving as it should. Here's my code:

function main() {
  $('.skillset').hide();
};
$(document).ready(main);

2 things are happening:
1/ The whole website page is hidden, not only skillset. I can only see "Proficient in:". I don't think that's the proper behavior
2/In the exercise they said the css for skillset would have display: none but it doesn't, so clearly somethign is wrong. This is from styles.css page:

.skillset {
  display: flex;
  justify-content: space-between;
  flex-wrap: wrap;
}

Can you tell me what should be done differently?
Thanks in advance!

It's proper behavior :slight_smile: .If you see carefully then you'll see only skillset elements will be hide.

It doesn't change the text file.It works in the background.see here (red mark)
